Japan Airlines adopts EzyCustoms™ for ACI program of CBSA

(1st February 2006, Hong Kong) Japan Airlines International Co. Ltd. (JAL) and Global Logistics System (HK) Co. Ltd., (GLSHK) are pleased to announce that Japan Airlines has signed an agreement to adopt GLSHK¡¦s EzyCustoms™ Internet portal to comply with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for the latest requirements on Advanced Commercial Information (ACI) Program, which calls for air carriers to transmit electronic conveyance data within defined timeframes for all air cargo shipments destined for Canada effective 12th December 2005.

Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) are founding carriers of GLSHK¡¦s EzyCustoms™ Internet portal, a single integrated solution for airlines to provide Customs agencies the complete and timely air cargo manifest information in an efficient, reliable and cost-effective manner, bridged between freight forwarders, airlines and customs authorities. GLSHK, JAL and CX are planning to extend EzyCustoms™ capabilities ¡V as a single Internet platform to support and comply with all major customs authorities including Automated Manifest Services (AMS) of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S., European Union Customs and Australia Customs.

EzyCustoms™ - a multiple Customs compliance Internet portal, is part of the product suite of GLSHK¡¦s Ezyfreight solution. Other products include

(*where applicable, EzyCustoms™ provides an automatic data validation for compliance check, as well as intelligent alert for exception handling before final submission of air conveyance reports to Customs agencies). GLSHK¡¦s EzyCustoms™ helps airlines to comply with CBSA regulations and exchange information in a timely manner, reduce operation workload, minimize data re-entry and errors with minimal system investment and efforts.

Together with EzyCargo™ platform and Traxon network, GLSHK offers various service and connection options for airlines to exchange information with freight forwarders, Customs authorities, Post Offices and other major players in the transportation chain.
